Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, Romans 1:1
Have you ever thought about being set apart for the gospel of God? Because alot of what we hear today is about our personal sanctification, about God healing our hearts, and how we can grow in Christ, personally. While all of that is true we do not hear much about being sold out for the gospel of God. Oswald Chambers in his devotional book, My Utmost for His Highest, January 31 says, "It is our abiding reality."
Please pray this week that the gospel of God become Glenhaven's abiding reality. Like so many in ministry we too get caught up in the service. There is always too much to do and not enough money or people. So we often get stuck in the worry and business that goes with ministry. Pray that our reality will always stay at the cross of Christ.
With all the work on the gray house most of the residents are just a bit unsettled. The boys are still eating meals here at the green house and sleeping at Hidden Valley. The girls are unsure about the boys moving over here. New things are always unsettling for everyone.
Pray for the house-parents as they maintain a calmness in the midst of the chaos.
School staff as they keep on teaching in spite of all of this.
Each resident as they continue to work in school and on their personal stuff.
Greg & Gina Pitts have returned to us safely.
Rick & Dee Paton, volunteers, have also returned.
Dave & Dana Harding leaving tomorrow.
Dwayne Webb, I am actually enjoying the planning and still need prayer for open doors and more places to go.
We have a need for bunkbeds that are sturdy and extra long. We have some big boys and we will need them soon for the gray house.
Please pray for our IT guys and our bookkeeper, Lori Cunningham. We have a problem with our Quickbooks software.
